This year's Chinese New Year has been a real rush. Many things happened before Chinese New Year which caused me to have no time to make any preparations for the CNY celebrations and no time to do shopping for clothes and shoes and bags. No time to blog even.
On Feb 1, my maid ran away. Yes, she ran away! Again! This is so sickening. Once again, I had no maid for 2 weeks. Everyday's routine is wake up early in the morning, hang clothes, bathe, and quickly head to office. And had breakfast in office every morning. During lunch time, quickly go out, grab a bite and quickly do some CNY shopping. Each day shop for a different thing, ranging for decorations to food to clothes to shoes etc. After work, quickly rush home to cut vegetables, mushrooms and fold clothes and keep clothes, sometimes wash clothes again. Sometimes got to pack ingredients for my parents' stall. Everyday I slept at 1am. I tell you, it's freaking tiring when my brothers refused to help out at all. It's so sickening! Anyway, it's over. I have a new maid now, Indonesian one, my first Indonesian maid, Lestari. We call her Starry. Hehe.
I hope she's fine in our house cos she seems to be coping on very well in my place. She's very friendly and smiling too. Also, she's very neat and clean in doing her housework. I really hope she can keep up the good job! I like her a lot. Because she attempts to speak up although she's not very good with her English. I admire her courage. And for your info, she's only one year older than me.
Soon, it's Chinese New Year. Went visiting the first day. Had fun playing Bingo and Zhong Ji Mi Ma. Winners have Ang Pow lucky draw. Money in Ang Pows range from $2 to $30. Super shiok! Compliments from my uncle. Every year, I look forward to going to my uncle's place cos' there's just so much fun. Everyone will sit together to play games. After which, when many relatives left, those who stayed over in the house, played in-between. My favourite game of all. It's really very "challenging" and your heart will beat really fast when it comes to opening the cards to reveal if you actually won/lost. Each round, shouting "Ah Peh, Double, Triple!" is just so much fun.
Second day, went to Loyang Tua Bei Gong's Temple for prayers. Every year we would go there to give our thanksgiving. Subsequently, headed home for steamboat. Steamboat on this day tasted better probably because there were 2 additional people, Kelvin and Cheryl. Had more fun snatching food I guess cos' the supply is limited. And we had barbeque as well as Tom Yam soup base. Super Yummy!
Third Day, went to darling's house to bai nian to his parents. Then went to uncle Bobby's house, actually wanted to play in-between, but not enough people cos' my brothers did not go. So we had mee siam (cooked by my grandma) and pizza and spicy drumlets from Pizza hut (my favourite!!!!!!) Then, headed home and prepared to start the boring office life again.
Going to work has been a dread. It's only 7 months, I have like how many more years to go. Oh my God! Everyday, I am trying to make plans in my life. My life cannot just be waking up, going to work, coming home, sleep, waking up, going to work, coming home, sleep and so on. I can't take such monotonous life. I've got to make plans! When I have finally decided, I would announce my plans. Read on ba!
March's coming! Lots of things to look forward to. Better not count the eggs before they are hatched so shan't mention any first in case *choy*! Alright, so many words, just add in some pictures.
The Chun-Peng in my house. See the pinkish orange mould!!!!! Not everyone's Chun Peng will have pinkish orange mould. This means that we are going to Huat Huat Huat this year man! Cos' mould is usually blackish and ugly colors, seldom do you see pinkish orange mould! Keke.
Another picture of the Chun Peng in my house~
On Chu Er (2nd day of CNY), with the eyeliner, darling and my brothers say I look like a Japanese ghost. Mummy says I look better than with blue eyeshadow. She says it made my eyes look much bigger. But I quite like myself like this. See my hair?! Style right?! Look so short!!!!
Another pic of my "short" hair. What do you think? I have colleagues who say this hairstyle don't suit me. I also have colleagues who love my hairstyle saying I look really wild. I love this wild image!
And not forgetting to mention Valentines' Day. Darling sent flowers to my office! *Surprise!!!!* So Happy!!!! Grinning from ear to ear. Thank you, Darling! I love you! *muacks*
Really huge and nice. I love the way the flowers bloom, and the 2 bears. OMG! They are just so lovely!!!
The nicely bloomed flowers~
See, aren't they lovely!?
Look at the 2 bears! so Kawaiii ne!
Yesterday (27 Feb), finally caught a movie with Darling. It has been 6 months since I last caught a movie. Either I have no time or when I have time, it's the weekends and I would complain it's too expensive to catch a movie. Watched "Just Follow Law" yesterday. Really good for laughing, some things are really true. Those who are already working, I would suggest you catch the flick, cos' it's really representative of what is happening in most offices everyday.
Alright, I hope to update soon! Keke. Probably complain about my work ba. Since I have so much to complain to darling everyday, I shall spare his ears and complain to my blog. Hehe.
