Took half day leave to attend my brother's graduation ceremony - Ngee Ann Poly Diploma with Merit in Information Technology. Congratulations bro! You've done great! Opportunity cost: the chance to learn to train a new batch of staff. Well, I have promised him way before hand, and thus, I should honour my promise. What's more the entire family is going, EXCEPT me, not right man!

The ceremony hall...

The happy graduate who's going to army in 2 weeks time. I think I will miss having him around~

The very happy parents~

"Family Portrait"

Mum is asking me to find out where to take studio pics. She says she's proud to have 2 graduates considering she and dad do not have any high level of education. You know it's always in the genes. Since studying is not in their genes, to her we are remarkable! Anyone has any to recommend? I need to get this done before my dear brother shaves his head and serves the army for years, considering he's gonna be a pilot in the air force first before flying a commercial plane! All the best bro! You've done us proud!

The long weekend has caused Darling and I to not want to go to work! Argh... It was supposed to be our photoshoot week, thus, it was a short short week. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the photoshoot was postponed to 2 months later and we cancelled our leave. We only took last Fri, instead of the original planned Wed - Fri. It was a last minute decision to head to Batam - a really short trip - 2 days 1 night.

Darling did all the booking. He was bringing me to spa and massage cos' I was complaining of severe backache. So sweet of him! Weet! *jumps around in joy* I collected the vouchers, tickets on Thursday during lunch. It was amazing to see that in a corner of Peninsula Plaza, there's this travel agent, slightly bigger than the size of my room and close to 10 workers. Alrighty, collected and lunched at Pasta Mania, Funan. Favourite place for pasta! Satisfying!

The afternoon in office was a killer, one meeting after another. I can't finish the work that I am supposed to clear before I go for my leave. What's more, I had facial at night. Gotta rush there after work. Anyway, brought my work home so that I need not cancel my facial. Ultimate Indulgence...

Next morning, Darling and I woke up early to take go to HDB Hub to take a look at the showroom and models for their recently launched BTO projects, Punggol Sapphire and Compassvale Pearl. Fell in love with the 5 room unit. Too good to be true. Well, yes! we're gonna try our luck! *Prays real hard for a good queue no. please!*

After which, headed to Harbourfront and gonna get ready to board the ferry. Me who will be sea sicked was so nervous. I had to eat sweets, talk to Darling, listen to music to get my mind away from thinking that I will puke anytime. Still had some time before the departure time and thus, we took a walk in Vivocity. Yes, again we went to look at wedding bands. Hee, our dunno-how-many-times le. Just like to go and hear them suggest what to buy. Also, we can take a look if there are any new designs which we may fall for. Actually, we already got our minds fixed, just thinking which shopping mall to buy from to have the best deal. E.g. if you buy at Vivocity, every $50 spent = $1 of free parking. So far, this is the best deal! Anyone knows any better shopping centre deals? The jewellery store deal is same throughout the entire Singapore. We wanted extra perks from the shopping centre. Haha. Well, this is an informed decision made. Cos' it's a big ticket item, we gotta get the most out of it!

Board the ferry, got to Batam safely and was fetched to the hotel promptly. Got to rest our butts after the 1hr ferry ride for half an hour before someone will come and pick us up for our 3.5 hours spa and massage. Waited in the hotel lobby for half an hour and no one came. Darling and I started to get worried. We tried to call the spa but just could not get through. We had to call back to our travel agent in Singapore. Whilst waiting for the coordinator to call us back, we headed back to the room to watch TV - they have clear broadcasts of Channel 5, 8 and U! Yippie!

Received the call that they had a tyre problem on the way and thus was late. Told us to go downstairs in 5mins. We went down and saw a lady and we followed her to the car. Reaching the spa, we were welcomed with green tea. Headed to the couple room, undressed and lied face down on the bed. 1.5hrs whole body massage began, this is followed by 30mins foot reflexology, then 30mins ear candling, 30mins body mask and wrap and lastly a milk bath.

Throughout the process, it was quite painful when the person presses certain parts of your body. But after which, we felt really relaxed. We felt so light. After 3.5hours, we finally could head for dinner at this seafood restaurant recommended by the travel agent. It was so difficult to order cos' the waiters do not speak English nor Mandarin. We told the waiter to get someone who could speak English. Finally, we managed to order 1kg of chilli crab, 300g of golden prawns, baby kailan and hotplate toufu. The guy gave us 500g of prawns in the end! Humph! No way we could finish and we only knew about this when we called for the bill. Cabbed back to hotel and lied on the bed to watch TV till I fell asleep unknowingly. Guess after the relaxing massage, it was just so easy to fall asleep.

Next morning, woke up had the breakfast buffet in the hotel's restaurant and cabbed to the nearest shopping centre - Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre. Bought a lot of daily toiletries there, so damn cheap! Then came across a shop that sell clothes. Only one size per clothing. Haha and it's for S sized people, so bought 2 for my mum and 2 for my bro's gf. Too cheap to resist. So nice tops for only about $5 each. And I bought a Nike Watch. Too lazy to take a picture, show you all next time ba!

Best of all, A&W!

Rootbear float! Ahhh.... I m missing the rootbear!

Darling enjoying the float. See that smile on his face!

Waffle ice cream... to die for!

Argh, I miss this!

After that, cabbed back to hotel to grab our stuff and get ready to hit the terminal! Home sweet home. Before we board the ferry, we went to Batam Centre to walk walk again. We ate at A&W again. Hee this time the chicken pieces and had 2 mugs of rootbear! Yummy! Slurp slurp! Bought cheap Wacoal bras and headed to board the ferry. And here I am back home again!

Seriously, I still don't feel like working. Can I have a longer break pls!!!

Wow! Long time no blog. Anyone miss me? Reason for not blogging: nothing to blog about leh. Camera was away from me when my brother went to Bangkok thus, did not take pictures of anything. No pictures = nothing to talk about.

Let's see... Mother's Day.

Arranged for family dinner on Friday (9/5/08) at Dian Xiao Er, Vivocity. Their food is nice but I can't stand their service. Firstly, I called and said we have 11pax in total, can I make a reservation. The fellow said no, but come 15 mins before should not be a problem. And, guess what! They made me stand there and wait for 1 hour! I straight away told the waitress off... you keep letting 2 - 3 people in, those who came 30mins after us already ate and left. You could have kept the tables for us. And I have waited for 1 hour and you tell me there's still no table. Keep asking me to order first, and now I have placed my order, still no place to sit. What is this?!

Arranged for 2 round tables to stick together. Seriously I prefer 5 rectangle tables together lo. So came 2 chicken soup, we ordered 3. 10 mins later, the third one still has not come, so I checked with the waitress. She got the guts to come and tell me out of stock liao! So again, I told her off. Ask me to order one hour before I got a seat. Came 2 chicken soup, 10 mins later, I reminded you short of one. You told me no more liao. What is this! I was seriously damn pissed but Darling calm me down. I just kept blabbering all nonsense out of my mouth even my mum ask me why I so pissed off. I said cos' what they tell me is not what they're doing. This is not SERVICE!

Anyway, after dinner, we went to Haagen Dasz for ice cream. Total damage of the day: dinner + ice cream = $400. We had dinner with my parents, my grandparents, and all of us (siblings) brought our other halves and lastly, my maid.

Darling bought carnation for both my mother and grandmother. To my surprise, he also bought daisies for me! 3 stalk of pink daisies. Really lovely. So sweet of him! Muakz darling, you definitely scored full marks! I have the pictures in my iPhone, shall update when I am home~

Look at this:

This is my brother's Tigger on my bed with a stalk of sunflower in his mouth and he sings:

Wo de re qing! Ah! Hao Xiang Yi Ba Huo!

Haha... enjoyed my day~

Currently, blogging in office. Too tired from so many brain cells depleting plus whole body aching especially the right side of my body. I need to see a doc soon...

WoOoooOOooooOOOOoooo! Our page is finally up! Happy! I have spent the entire day updating it. It's a little difficult to update things now because a lot of things are still to be kept confidential e.g. prices. Also, many pictures could not be put up because I want my guests to be kept in suspense. I should not show everything I have. Thus, it's always a bit here and there.

I also set up the page, apart from following the trend, it is also to help all who are preparing for their big day. The reason is because I got many of my information/ideas/help from such websites as well when I surf the internet everyday. It has become a routine for me to read people's wedding site, gain experience and ideas from them and incorporate them to be mine. I must say that without the Internet, everything would be a manual process e.g. going to the venue itself to see the place instead of getting to view pictures online.

Darling says I have worked hard today and should stop updating our page for today. He wants me to take a rest le. Hee so sweet of him! Gonna get some rest! Bye peeps!

Hey all who are reading my hope-not-too-boring blog, please do visit our (my darling and I) wedding blog/page. We've spent some time to get this up so as to facilitate disseminating information on our wedding and also for all to know a little more about us, if you do not know anything or feel that you don't know enough. Hee...

Nowadays, it's quite popular to have a wedding blog, thus, we also decided to follow the trend and set up one for ourselves. For those who are also thinking of tying the knot, we hope to provide some useful information for you too.

Having said so much, click this link to get there: http://gravin.weddingannouncer.com.

We hope you enjoy reading and do remember to sign on our guestbook. Oh! and don't forget to continue reading my blog too :)

Slept at 3am in the morning. Woke up and realised it was almost 12pm. Half a day gone again! :( This holiday is short, just one day and back to work tomorrow. :(

Had brunch and started 'work'. Agenda for the day is to finish sticking swaroski crystals onto my heels for bridal photoshoot purpose. Well, I am proud to say it's done now! Darling says it's so pretty and the price of the heels now is $388. Haha... he's so cute lo. He says it's nicer than the $388 pair we saw in Takashimaya.

Now, I am here to show off my work. I am just so proud of myself.

This is before any work was done to it.

A close up of the area that I am going to work on.

Tadah! One part done... one more small part to go. Can you see the difference or not?

Close up...

All done!

Close up...

Another angle. Simply pretty, beautiful and elegant. Do you agree?

Now, I am in search of a silver ribbon to tie on the strap behind as I felt that the back strap is a bit too plain.

Alright, time to get myself out of the house shopping for ribbons and iPhone and iPod Classic accessories. More money to spend again! Argh!

Shouts! *iPhone!* Haha... yes my dear uncle just came back from USA with a 16GB Apple iPhone for me! Yippie! My long awaited iPhone! Love you, uncle! Love you, iPhone. And, Love you, Darling for setting up my iPhone for me.

Though it has officially only been on my hands for 1 day, I love it to the core! I have so much things to explore and Darling says I got to spend time reading on the Internet and watch tutorial videos. Also, find out what I want, and he will try to get it done for me. Sweet hubby! Thank you! *muacks*

Of course, Darling got his iPod Classic from USA too, courtesy of my uncle. It's way cheaper there especially when USD is like how cheap today! He will enjoy his new toy too.

Anyway, a preview of my iPhone... the core functions first... When I know more of the other functions, I shall update again...

This is my dearest iPhone with a pink menu tab. All things pink! Hubby knows me best! Oh and I will be going to get a dedicated pouch or some form of protection for it later in the day. I hope I find something pink too. All things in my bag are pink - Coin Pouch, PSP Pouch, HP Pouch (will be replaced by iPhone pouch).

My iPhone is fully charged! Look at the battery meter, even this is so cool. Way too kewl!

This is my wallpaper. Lovely, isn't it? I miss Japan, I miss Disneyland and I miss Chip & Dale!
Yes, the clock reads 12.54am in the picture above, the blogging time is now 2.50am, with Darling by my side watching Liverpool vs. Chelsea.

For calling... this is your keypad. Big enough for people who are long and short sighted. Haha, that's what I told my mum. Of course, you see the little buttons at the bottom, you can pick from your contact list or set a favourites list. I have yet to find out if speed dialing (just like Nokia, Sony Ericsson) works. You know this is an important feature especially for people who drive cos' they can't be staring into their contact list to find the no. to dial or even stare at the keypad to dial the no. This is a very important function which I must go find out!

The sms 'window'. I thought I would have difficulty cos I have fat fingers. But! But! But! Though I only had it on my hands for 10mins, I got the hang of it. I even typed an email using this and sent it out via gmail while lying on my bed. Probably I won't even need my laptop in future? Haha... Nahz... I still love my laptop!

The calculator. My parents are very impressed by this because they say it's big enough for them to see clearly. They say it will come in really handy especially when you are abroad and you need to convert foreign currencies to SGD. Indeed, it looks exactly like every calculator you can find out there.

Now... The mp3 player which is called iPod in my iPhone. Yes, it's playing Linkin Park at the moment. Well, if you put in a piece of music with the album art (e.g. album cover), when it plays that song, the album art will appear just like in the picture above.

Of course, these are the few basic functions. Shall update more on it in time to come when I have learnt more! It's too early for me to say anything now cos I am still unfamiliar with every function and all the wonders it could do.

Best of all, this phone is intelligent to change to portrait and landscape whenever you tilt your phone. Oh... and you can enlarge whatever you see on the screen just by pushing your fingers out from the middle of the screen. To zoom out, simply bring your fingers from the corners of the screen back to the middle. I don't know if you know what I am talking about. Well, if you see me, ask me to show you! Hee... Oh oh... And I must explore the google map on it! Important for driving to places which I don't know, the East and North especially.

Weet... off now to watch soccer with my dear. I hope I don't fall asleep. Although it's labour day, it will be a long day for me. Got to explore how to diy my bridal shoes and explore my iPhone and go out and get iPhone and iPod Classic accessories and screen protector and continue with my jigsaw puzzle. OOOoooooOOOooOOOOOOooooOOOOOoooo.........
