BBQ Farewell Party for our beloved boss, Serena.

Marcus - setting up the fire.

Me, Serena, Carolyn.

Back: Daisy, Vivian
Front, Me, Carolyn

Group Shot 1!

Group Shot 2!

A cake for her.

Vivian, Elaine, Serena. Erm... it's Serena's farewell, not Elaine's! Why is she holding on to the cake??

Vivian representing all of us to present Serena with her farewell gift.

Serena looking through a diary we made for her, featuring all the teams reporting to her as well as the teams that used to work with her.

Vivian and Mdm... without them, I would not have been able to make this farewell party a success.

For the past few nights, I have been sleeping at 1+ to 2am. Reason: rushing to decorate the gift for Serena. And on Friday, I was given unofficial leave to prepare for the BBQ at night. Only appeared in office for 2 hours and went off to get ready for the night. Indeed it was very tiring. I slept till 1 plus on a Saturday.

280608 (Saturday)

Woke up at 1 plus in the afternoon. Headed to the hairdresser's house to have my hair coloured. This is the first time I chose to only have one colour for my hair, that is no highlighting. Had to dye my hair as I wanted to look good in my upcoming photoshoot. Also, I need to make it easy for the make up artist to put on any extensions on my hair, thus, I chose a easy colour. Dark brown with a reddish tinge.

Starting to Zi Lian when I reach home... Look at my hair colour~

I like my new hair colour very much!

Blown away...

When I reached home, I was busy updating my wedding page. Did some re-organization because I find the information quite difficult to read the last time round. Now, I had a page for every event. It seems very much easier to read now. What's more, I have added a little poll. Haha. Think I am too free le, started to explore everything I could do. It's like 201 days to our wedding. So fast!!!!!!!!

Last Saturday, Darling and I made a trip to Lee Hwa Jewellery at Marina Square. Purpose: to get our wedding bands. We have sourced around for a few months already. We still prefer and have already set our eyes on the pair from Lee Hwa and we were just waiting for the Great Singapore Sale for further discounts or what have you.

GSS finally came! Shopping Mall - Marina Square - had some shopping rewards - spend $150 and get a $10 voucher. Limited to one per customer, regardless of total amount spent. Actually, if you paid using UOB credit card, you get an additional $10 voucher. However, the sad thing is when we went to buy, this promotion was fully redeemed. Sad :(

Nevertheless, we still bought our pair of wedding bands at Lee Hwa Jewellery. The salesperson was very nice because we were comparing taking a thicker band or a thinner band for me. We could not decide as the thinner band was not available at the store for comparison. He immediately checked if the nearest outlet had one. He checked and walked there to get it for us to do a comparison. Finally, we decided that Darling will take the one with a thicker band and mine with a thinner band. After all, thinner band looks more elegant on females!

Completed the purchase about 1 - 2 hours later. Asking questions (e.g. clarity of diamond, color of diamond etc.) and taking time to decide. I totally enjoyed the process. Also, took out some other bands to see see look look although we knew we will not choose any other. Tadah! Custom Made order printed to be sent to Belgium for custom-making. The next time we get to see it is 2 - 2.5 months later! I really cant wait to put on the ring that will fit my finger perfectly. And best of all, the Destinee 10 diamond on my finger! I totally love diamonds! DIAMONDS ARE GAL'S BESTFRIEND!

After completing the purchasing, I was looking at other Destinee products. Fell in love with a pair of earrings, about 0.4 carat in all and another pendant, cant recall the diamond weight. I really feel like getting both! But it will burn a big hole in my pocket! Probably my next bonus ba. Oh and I also sent my proposal ring for re-polishing. It's gonna come back to me in 7 days time and my Darling paid for the re-polishing so happy! It's gonna look brand new! Darling says I am single for 7 days now... So crappy!

LalAlalalalallalaaaa..... Can't wait to see the ring and put it on my finger! Sorry no pictures at the moment. Gotta wait till I get the rings!

A very shagged weekend!

Friday morning, woke up super duper early to have breakfast with my brother. He's going to the ARMY! Could not take leave to accompany him, thus, could only have breakfast with him. After breakfast, I went home, slacked a bit and went to work.

Work wasn't that splendid on this Friday the 13th. Boss held a sudden meeting to say that she's been appointed the manager of a project and thus, would not be able to continue to head us. I broke down into tears. I was there in this brand new division because of her. It was her who gave me this chance to break free from where I was. I haven't been with her for 3 months and she told me this. Oh my! I cried like a baby. She too dropped tears. It's really sad as we know she did not choose this path willingly. She was appointed, not by choice.

After work, went to Darling's place and slept early.

Saturday morning, woke up at 515am. Wash up and off I went in a cab to Golden Mile Complex. The division is heading to Desaru for a one day trip. There are a total of 33 of us!

All ready to go~

Sumptuous and yummy tim sum for breakfast. 15 baskets for RM 31. Cheap!!

So many photos to update. Shall cut the talking short!

01 June 2008 (Sunday)

The long awaited Angela Zhang Shao Han's concert. She's supposed to come in March. However, as she was sick, she postponed the concert. Darling and I still decided to support her!

Rocking Expo Hall 5 on a Sunday night!

The lady with powerful vocal. Starting the night with Meng Li Hua.

Here's presenting her various outfits:

Sexy Angela!

Fan Wei Qi & Angela with Ru Guo De Shi...

Angela with the cello.

Casual Angela --> reminds me of Xiao Mai in Gong Zhu Xiao Mei.

Overall, the concert wasn't as high as Jolin and Jacky. However, I am mesmerized by Angela's vocal. She's superb! Jia you Angela. Will always support your works!

04 June 2008 (Wed)

Darling's birthday! Took the entire day off.

Early in the morning, drove to my aunt's house cos' she has so readily agreed to bake me something for Darling. Hee. Instead of cake, we decided upon muffins!

See! Looks lovely right? There's ham & cheese, blueberry and raisins & walnuts. Yummy! But it was too much for us that after eating, we felt quite sick of it. Hee.

Darling and his birthday 'cake'.

We went for our favourite kway chap breakfast and off we head back to my place cos' mum wanted my family to go to the photo studio to take a family portrait with my brother's and my graduation gowns before my brother gets enlisted.

Decided to go to the photo studio very near our place and has been there for about 20+ years.
Walked in, decided on the package and started changing and getting ready. Studio photos are really tiring and stressful due to the poses. They will also teach you how to 'place' your face such that you will not look so round in the photos. After 2 hrs, we all had backaches!

Sneak preview: this is mum and dad! See they look like they are taking their wedding photos all over again! Such a lovely couple!

After that, went back home slacked a bit, till my parents got their errands runned, then we will head for dinner. Original plan was to have crabs at AMK. However, upon reaching there, we got to wait for an hour. This will cause us to miss our flight! Yes, we got a flight to catch at 9pm! Too rush, thus, headed to AMK's S11 and had a simple dinner there.

After which, headed for our flight. Luckily we're on time!

Yea... our flight tickets!

The back of our flight tickets.

And if you still are unsure, yup we caught a flight on the Singapore Flyer. Must at least try once I told my parents. So brought them to catch the flight.

My excited parents. They happen to wear the same shade, thus, this photo turned out really pretty!

The very happy them!

Darling and me... Smiling so happily because mummy doesn't know how to operate the camera. Duh!

Mummy and daughter. Now you see how similar our eyes are!

Some night photos for your viewing pleasure~

Ended the night with a fish spa. Daddy was so excited. He kept saying he's going to be bitten by fishes. At the end, he chose another package that includes foot reflexology. Fickle-minded him! Well, mummy and I enjoyed the fish spa. I kept having goose bumps whenever I look into the pool of fishes!

Look at the fishes feeding on my dead skin! Eeekss....

08 June 2008

Celebrating Ah Gong's Birthday and Fathers' Day!

We had dinner at Tung Lok Restaurant at Arena Country Club, Upper Jurong.

My uncle...

Auntie Teresa, the amazing baker. Yes! She's Uncle Bobby's wife. Hello! They're in couple tees.

This is Celeste. Uncle Bobby and Auntie Teresa's princess.

Yes, my mum acting cute. And that's my grandma and grandpa.

The family last night. 24 of us! Some were not present though.

I love this pic. Everyone is smiling so happily! The kids are faster than my grandpa when it comes to blowing of candles and cutting cake. OMG! And the 4 look alike ladies at the back are my mum's sisters and herself.

I love this pic too. It's so hard to capture a photo of lil' boy Caleb. He's just so shy! And I love my daddy in this pose. So fatherly! I think I must work hard and bear him some grandchildren. Haha.

Alright, till the next update!
