Here's wishing myself a Happy 24th birthday! 23rd birthday ended with me getting married legally. 24th birthday will see me in my customary wedding!!! Spells lots of excitement. However, this is also the first time in 24 years where I don't celebrate my birthday with my family. And the first time in 24 years I am celebrating my birthday on my own. (Usually if I am in Singapore, I will meet up my lovely sisters for dinner for sure!)

The hotel team came up with a little gift and a slice of birthday cake and a birthday card for me. So nice of them!!!

My colleagues are buying me dinner tomorrow at this place that serves chilli crab. It's supposed to be today but one of our team members is sick and I requested to shift it back till he's feeling better. He called me just now to wish me Happy Birthday and said he's sorry that because of him, we have to push back the dinner. So silly of him!

What's hubby getting me? I don't know yet. Wait till I am back in SG ba! He say buy now also useless, cos' I am not around to use it. So wait till I am back then he will get me something. But it's really sweet of him to have gotten me a nice pair of in-ear earphones first. I know I am so loved!!!

"Gem Drops" Jewel Type Stereo Headphones - Heart (Black, Pink Topaz)

MIL came back from US about 2 weeks ago and bought me 2 Coach! My very first Coach product and to think I get 2 at one go! Sweet~

The one in front (has white corners) is a wristlet.

This one in pink is a little bag.

People like Jiaying still owes me birthday present. Hee... I will get them when I am back home! Woohoo~~

Apart from the Ang Pows I have received mainly from my relatives (my relatives are nice people, they asked me if I prefer money/gifts, I told them money), I also received many many pretty gifts.

The best gift of all would be my guest book.

Took the page where my sisters wrote... Full of thanks for them!

Really thank all for their well wishes from the bottom of our hearts. Feels so blessed to have so many people congratulating us and sharing our joy with us!

First day as Mr & Mrs Lim. Woke up at about 830am, washed up and headed to Marriott Cafe for breakfast.

On the breakfast voucher, it was already stated as Mr & Mrs Lim. OMG! Couldn't believe it!

Posing at the lift lobby with free apples!!!

We look really tired...

Marriott Cafe...

After breakfast, went back to the room and started packing up to check out. Lots of things to pack and ensure we have brought back everything. And Darling took some photos for me:

Checked out, cabbed to bridal studio to return the gown and accessories and cabbed back to my place. Took pictures of my gifts etc. so I can blog when I am back in the foreign land.

When it was about time, Darling sent me to the airport to catch my flight. Yes, on first day as Mr & Mrs, I had to leave him alone. I am thankful that he is very understanding. Before I left his arms in the airport, I teared. It was one full week with him, both of us need not go to work and spent every second with each other. Just couldn't bear to leave his arms. Well, he comforted me and said there will be many more days to come and wants to me to take extremely good care of myself.

Just Married Thoughts:

He has been a real sweetie! Sweeter than before. I asked him if this is going to be for short term and he said No. He will be sweeter to me than before marriage because he's giving me his sweetness by tier. If he started off being so sweet, he couldn't be any more sweeter now. And after our customary wedding, he will be the sweetest to me! I really felt a difference to how he treats me. He says now that we're responsible for each other and got to take care of each other, I ought to treat you better, isn't it? *Melts* Simply loves him! Will always bear in mind the little little things he does for me.

The day started with Mummy going to Jurong Point to find a dress to wear later (see how last minute she can get!) and Daddy going to run his errands, I fell asleep on bed after breakfast with my family, while waiting for Annabel, our hotel coordinator, to call and let us know what time we can check in. She called and told us 12pm, but Mummy wasn't back home yet, so we waited for mummy to come home first and Daddy sent us to Marriott.

I unpacked all the luggage and bags we had, placed the stuff we require for later at a corner. Enjoyed Marriott's welcome platter - some cakes n chocolate. Mummy went to bathe and I lied on the bed to relax. Then came Make Up Artist, Sandy, at 4pm. Started my Make Up, then came Darling's brothers, my sisters, my family, my page boys and flower girls, photographer etc. All in a small little room. I had to chase all of them out in order for me to change. Mummy came back from her hairdo and makeup, she looked so great!

In the meantime, Darling, my brother (my emcee), JiaYing (my coordinator/sister) went for a coordination meeting with the hotel coordinator and banquet manager. Xiaoqi and my youngest brother went to set up the reception table. Pei stayed with me to help me change.

Then came a shock from Adam (darling's brother), he said both CDs were not working. Kaoz! He looked real freaked out and I too was freaked out. I told him other songs I don't mind using the hotel's, I just need my march in song to work. And he went to settle this for me, luckily the hotel has my March in song - Martina McBride: Valentine.

After I changed, I went to the reception area. To my surprise, all my guests were very on time. We stated 6pm on our invitation cards and when I was down at 615pm, almost all have arrived. Waited for some and started promptly at 630pm. Had quite a good chat with our JP before the start of the ceremony.

Emcee announces start of ceremony & our March In song started, and we started walking in with the flower girls and page boys in front. They were so cute, I signalled to them and said start walking. Near the entrance I told them, start throwing out whatever is in the basket. They asked me, how to throw? I said throw on the floor. After that Jiaying was telling me, tell them throw into the sky. Haha. Out of gan cheong-ness, I said throw on the floor. Hee. When they reached the table, they did not know what to do, their parents chiong out to catch them, while I said 'go find mummy'. Haha. And told the main page boy to put my ring pillow on the table.

This picture shows all 6 of us! I was more worried for them than myself. Hee.

When we reached the table, Prof Yu told us not to sit down and we will start straight.

Sat down, signed accordingly and he passed us the marriage certificate and congratulate us, wishing us many juniors! Hehe.

Emcee (my brother) announced champagne pouring time.

We had a short speech to thank everyone for coming. And waited for everyone to receive a glass of champagne and we said cheers! (Ang Mo Pai) No Yum Seng!

And it was photo taking time. Took photos with all relatives, group by group.

This is one taken with our JP, Prof Yu Shi Ming. A very humourous JP who puts us very much at ease throughout the ceremony.

Bidded goodbye to Darling's guests and I headed back to the room to change while my guests went to Legacy Suite for cocktail reception. My guests said food was great. Took pictures with my relatives in groups again as I was in a different outfit.

The both of us...

The night ended quite early, at about 9pm. Saw my guests off, followed by my sisters. Had a treat from darling's brothers at the lobby. We had cakes, coffee and some snacks. Ended close to 12am. Went back to the room and packed it up. Too messy after so many people came in and out. By the time we tucked ourselves in bed, it was almost 2am. Talked to each other on how we felt about the entire thing, how can we better improve for our wedding banquet etc. Before that, we also asked our brothers and sisters the same questions. Realised that there were not any negative feedbacks, shows that we have done a splendid job! Thumbs up everyone!
