Ever since my maid's return from home leave on 14 Feb (Sat), the princess me have been a super busy woman! The topic's not on the weekdays... thus, let's dive straight to the weekends - a tiring yet fruitful one!
Slept late (about 2+am) on Friday night, thus, woke up late on Saturday morning (about 11+). Hurriedly washed up and get ready to meet Adam! We're going JB together. Hubby wanted to make a new pair of specs. I am just tagging along cos' I got nothing better to do. Went to City Square first. Had lunch (about 3+pm), walked around. I bought a few Skin Food items back, cos' according to my bro's gf, they are sold much cheaper in JB. Afterwhich, cabbed to Jusco.
Walked around Jusco, checked out the specs' price and it costs more than SG. Yep, did not deal and off we went to window shop again. Passed by a salon, so tempted to have my hair cut. The salons in City Square were packed. I think it's because they were cheap! Went to Jantzen to have my hair cut after much hesistation. Overall, I am satisfied with it. Cheap and good haircut!
Had dinner at this StoneGrill place and cabbed to Larkin bus terminal to board the bus back to SG. Reached home at almost 11pm le. Tired! As I am only back at mum's place once/twice a week and knowing my itinerary for Sunday, I had to run through all the letters before I sleep. Ended up sleeping at 2+ again! Goodness!
Woke up at 730am on Sunday morning, in preparation to go for SA Tours Pre-Natas Preview Sale. Wanted to reach at 9am although they are starting at 10am. Reached there close to 10am. They were located in the exhibition hall. Our only drive of going there was the 1st 5 couple - getting a huge discount. And the second drive was 2nd pax enjoy 30% off. We wanted to book our honeymoon there. Well, not surprising, the place was packed. The bad point: itinerary was not given out as per customer's request. You have to take a queue no. and when you meet up with the sales agent, they will pass u the copy of itinerary you want! WTF! Then, how to ask questions? Com' on SA, NOT 10 out of 10 people who go will book the tour you know! Waited for almost an hour before it's our turn.
The sales agent's attitude was like F***! We asked about the 1st 5 couple thing although we knew we were definitely not already, judging from the crowd. Then, we asked about the 2nd pax enjoying 30% off. The sales agent said 'this one you must very early come and queue for coupon de. Now so late liao, no more liao.' Fine! Cos' it wasn't written in all their ads that you have to come and queue early. We asked about the package tour price, and to our surprise, increased quite a bit! Next, we pointed to the flyer and asked about another package tour price. To our horror, the sales agent said 'I tell u the 30% one no more, you cannot understand?' My hubby immediately said 'we're just asking for the price, we never ask about the 30%.' We were both fed up and after asking the price, we stood up and left. Agent's service reflects company's service. Or should I put agent's attitude reflects company's attitude? Probably tour guide's attitude is like this too. You can't ask questions, you'll be F***ed.
There was not even a bit of service. And the sales agent kept huh-ing. Damn tulanz! Plus, you don't get to ask questions like, what sort of optional tour you provide during the free day etc. Cos' there wasn't a single hint that he was there to help. He was there NOT to help, but to close deal. Getting pissed off, we left. Headed downstairs.
Anyway, before we went to SA Tours preview sale, there was CTC downstairs. We took a look at the itinerary, checked out the prices. Not very much to our liking. Lastly, we headed to Dynasty Travel who was also there, downstairs I mean.
Did not even queue cos' we did not realise there was a queue. We took their flyer, check it out a bit and sat down with one of the agents and started with getting the itinerary and reading through it. Subsequently, asked a lot of questions, price was the last one. This agent is indeed friendly! Very great service provided. He told us more than what we wanna know, and even showed us lots of pictures. Answered a lot of our questions, one of which included whether we could extend our stay at Tokyo before coming back.
Got all our questions answered and started asking for freebies and discount. Got a $100 off per couple. Got a free 26 inch luggage. Hehe... And some other small bags that will be given to us during briefing. Overall, very very happy with what we have got!
Now, it's time to plan our extension trip. Oh before that, to check with my boss if I can go on marriage leave. Hee... Hope my boss says yes! :) Till the next...

Just to update on what hubby got me for Valentines Day! YippiE! I am in love with these gifts I received and all chosen by his princess, me. So in love with this man! He sure knows what to get for me. It's not the value that counts, but it's the thought. Thanks darling for being so thoughtful!
Box 1 - in Red. He went to get this after work today. (19 02 09)
Box 2 - black box covered with a white cardboard.
Ta-dah! The sweet little gifts in the boxes.
Let me introduce to you one by one!
1) A wallet...
2) My watch...
3) A cute little sling bag!
Actually we went to look around in Taka's Guess shop. Bought the watch and they gave us a $75 voucher. So we walked around the shop thinking how we should spend this voucher. Got my attention on this sling bag. Then, needed something else so as not to waste the value. Hubby says get the matching wallet cos' the wallet is nice!
Told the salesgirl to pack them and she said the sling bag is the last piece! Eeks! His princess will not go for something that is last piece unless she die die must have it! HAha... I am willing to wait for a free day and go and shop in another Guess shop. And being the loving hubby, he went to get it at Suntec for me! *muacks* Happy Happy Valentines Day 2009!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is nothing to shout about for 2009's Valentines Day. Promised to whip up a meal for my dear, however, I disappointed him again due to the many errands I need to run for my parents. I did not even manage to catch a breather! However, luckily I fulfilled my promise to watch The Wedding Game with him. We bought the tickets on Thursday and knowing me, I will not give it up cos' I find it a waste of money.
Anyway, made it up on the 15th, which happens to be our 1 month wedding anniversary! Throughout the day, we would remind each other what we were doing on our wedding day. E.g. this time, we at hubby's house jing cha. It's really sweet to recap these moments. We dined at Manhattan Fish Market @ The Central at about 3+pm, cos' we had very full McDonalds' Breakfast at about 11am! Hubby had a $15 voucher thus, decided to just utilise it than let it go to a waste. After that, walked around The Central in search of a watch for his wife, me! He's getting me a watch cos' he happened to see my old one being so rusty and I still hold it so dear. He wanted me to choose and he'll pay. :) Really sweet of him.
Walked around and saw one to my fancy at last! However, the glass is popped out like a magnifying glass. Knowing me, I will scratch it very easily, thus, decided not to get that! Went off empty handed but I am not disappointed. Cos' I know in time to come, I'll find something I like. Went back home as we promised to help repair his aunt's PC. After repairing the PC, we went to Balestier as dear is meeting this guy to deal for his Apple Care.
Well, that's about it! Nothing much but it's sweet enough for us. We've bigger plans ahead and we will not be spending money lavishly. It's time to do good financial management. Oh, and I bought him a pair of cuff links & Jacky Cheung's 2007 Concert DVD. Will find some time to watch the DVD with him. :)

Hen Gracie is what my jiemeis addressed me on 10 Jan 09. Thankfully, this little group of sisters whom I grew up with were not the 'crazy party animal' kind!
We had a simple dinner at Bugis - Hong Kong Cafe. I had Chicken Chop Baked rice with Mushroom sauce and Cold Milk Tea.
This is the Chicken Chop Baked Rice with Mushroom sauce. Quite yummy, just a little saltish, probably due to the cheese?
This is the Milk Tea I had. They kept it cold by surrounding it with ice. Very creative!
This is Pei Pei... my personal assistant on my wedding day - taking care of me, helping me with my gowns, touching up make up etc.
After dinner, we headed to Top One KTV which I had made a reservation earlier. We chose this place as one of my jiemeis, Xiaoqi, would like to have beer. I think she's more of trying to make me drink, knowing that I seldom drink. Top One KTV had a beer night promotion which amounts to $108++ for 4 pax. That's quite cheap with 6 small bottles of Calsberg.
The 4 of us!
After 1 bottle, I felt like puking already. I won't be drunk, just felt that my stomach is turning upside down! Bad! But I still had to finish another 2 bottles! ARGH!
The 3 of us, Pei Pei was helping us take a photo!
After 4 hours of singing, we decided to head to West Coast Park. In this 4 hours, it totally spells fun and joy! We sang many old songs which we love during secondary school! Happy! The hype of the night was when Jiaying and Pei Pei bought me a cake!
The tiramisu cake they bought! And they sang me 'Jin Tian Ni Yao Jia Gei Wo' by David & Jolin! In one of the rap, my role was to shout 'Yes, I Do!'
We took a train to Clementi to change to a cab to reach West Coast Park... On the train, we were a nuisance! Haha...
While waiting for the train...
Our signature BUTTON FACE!
Yes, that's how red I can turn with just less than half a bottle of beer!
This is Jiaying & I. Most of them claim I was like half drunk already! Haha... BUT I AM NOT!
Pei Pei & I...
Xiaoqi & I. Yes, I am very sleepy already. Time check... 1130pm! After I drink, I just wanna sleep!
Is that guy behind digging his nose?!
Well, when we reached West Coast Park, we went to McDonalds to grab a bite! I had my favourite Strawberry Sundae! Chilled and chatted the night away in the park. They asked me many secretive questions! Toopid gals! Hee... but it was really a nice heartfelt talk! Cabbed home together at about 3am! *dead beat*
In any case, I would like to thank my sisters for the wonderful night out. Though it was simple, nothing extravagant, I truly enjoyed myself and am looking forward to more of such nights out!
Another super outdated post. Just before the New Year, I wrote these... but I have absolutely no time to post it on my blog. Sharing with you all
'Revisiting year 2008 and looking into year 2009'.
Today marks the last day of year 2008. We will be dancing into year 2009 in a few hours time. Like everyone else, this year is filled with ups and downs, happiness and sadness, laughter and sorrow. Well, I believe this is the only way for life to be interesting! For me, I would love to keep in memory the ups, the happiness and laughter in 2008. Of course, I feel that all of us should not forget the downs, sadness and sorrow which in one way or another makes us a stronger and better person. It is through difficult times that we learn and improve ourselves.
This year, I experienced many first times of my life, which I would like to pen down:
1) January 2008: Putting words into action - getting our Fengshui master to select our wedding date.
2) Feburary 2008: First time I put on wedding gowns and evening gowns. I had to select my gowns for our pre-wedding photoshoot. Finally, I understood why a girl is always the prettiest when she is in her wedding gown.
3) March 2008: First change in permanent job! Although in the same bank, just different division, it is an absolutely different job scope, with different people and a different job environment. This new job poses a new challenge to me every other day, unlike the previous one which is almost the same every other day. And people I work with are all around my age, no longer the 40+ year old spinsters!
4) June 2008: First family studio photoshoot. Since my university graduation, my mum has been wanting to take a studio family photo. We only took this family studio photoshoot after my brother graduated from Poly this year.
5) July 2008: Pre-Wedding Photoshoot. This is one photoshoot which you will only and want to take only one time in your life.
6) August 2008: First overseas assignment. For the first time in my life, I will be living away from my parents, siblings and my then boyfriend for about 3 months. It is a great experience, learning to live with someone else in the house, learning to wash, iron, cook and do every chore on your own. Learning to navigate on my own in a foreign land is something courageous I have achieved!
7) September 2008: Selected our lovenest, Park Central @ AMK. This is indeed the biggest ticket item we have bought in our 20 odd years on this Earth. We are looking forward to TOP in Dec 2011.
8) October 2008: 4th Oct 2008 marks the day we joined in matrimony in Singapore Marriott Hotel, Pool Terrace Pavilion. We became husband and wife legally. From this day forward, we know we have to hold each other in wealth, in poverty, in happiness, in sickness. We know that our actions are accountable for 2 persons, no longer accountable for myself only.
Moving forward into year 2009:
1) Our customary wedding held at Singapore Marriott Hotel, on 15 Jan 09 which is just 15 days away.
2) 10 years dating anniversary on 20 Jan 09.
3) 1st time giving out red packets on Chinese New Year.
4) Our honeymoon - destination yet to be fixed.
5) Living together in hubby's current house till our love nest is ready.
6) Beginning to pay off our 30 year HDB loan.
7) Little Kelvin/Grace? Let nature take its course. HAHA.
Long time since I blogged. Been busy with wedding, then with Chinese New Year and now, my maid is on home leave, so I am busy with housework!
This entry will be dedicated to hubby & me, in memory of our 10th year together!
We started on 20 Jan 1999, it still feels like it's yesterday when he asked 'will you be mine?' and I gave the nod.
It wasn't an easy journey... still remembered the initial times when my mum disagreed with this relationship as we have the same surnames. Also, remembered the times (especially during secondary school), my mum was so strict with me that I can't even go out with friends, thus we did not see each other for 3 months +.
Now, leaving the hard journey aside (of course, we must always remember this in order to cherish each other more), we're now onto another chapter of our life - Marriage and pretty soon, parenthood. It's 5 days after our wedding and we celebrate our 10th year together.
Hubby brought me to Tony Roma's @ Orchard Hotel. Both of us have not tried the food there. Overall, their food is not bad, but you can feel quite sick after eating a portion of it. Their portion is way too big. If you're a small eater, would suggest you order one person's portion and share with another person. We shared a 2 persons' portion and still can't finish, had to pack the remainder back.
This is half a loaf of onion. It is very sweet and yummy! Both hubby & I love it, but it is also very oily.
This is half bread with garlic-butter spread... complimentary!
Our main course - the Roma Feast made up of Ribs, BBQ Chicken, special sausage (pork), corn and coleslaw. The corn and coleslaw was disappointing and the chicken breast is too tough.
Taken while waiting for our food to be served.
This is me... so tired looking!
Now, onto my 10th year anniversary gift! Ta-dah!
My first branded (un-chiong ok!) gift from him.
Check out what's in the paper bag!
This...
My favourite Damier Canvas Alma!
Hubby says he will buy me one every 10th year we are together! so sweet of him!
Erm... yeah if you are wondering, I have not bought him anything till date. But I already told him I will be getting him a new camera. Now, we're doing research on which camera we should get :)
