Ain't all 5-days working peeps looking forward to Fridays? I am one of them too! However, on this 6 March 2009, a piece of news came in the evening to totally spoil everyone's weekend mood!
'promotions and salary increases will be put on hold'..... 'bonus will still be awarded to deserving employees'. This means to say that not all employees will receive bonus. And if you do not receive any bonus, does that mean you are not a deserving employee? What about the hardwork we put in in 2008? We do not even have a 13-month to at least show some appreciation? Com' on, 1st 3 quarters we are still doing very well. It was the last quarter that Singapore got badly hit! Just because profit is a decline from same period in 2007 means they do not have enough to pay each of us bonus... even a 13-month?
Anyway, any frustrations/complaints etc. can only be let out and disappeared into thin air. No one's gonna bother about how sore you feel. Erm... I guess employees will stand in hand in hand feeling exactly how each other feels. Well, just trying to let off some steam here...
