I started this surprise thingy on our 6th month ROM Anniversary (4 Apr 09). Wanted to hand him a Hardwarezone Magazine together with the receipt of 1 year subscription. However, as the time wasn't correct, the magazine could not be found in stores. This is likely to be because they are launching the April's issue soon. Thus, I subscribed online and sent to his email a e-copy of the receipt =) When he read his email, he was surprised and elated at the same time! It has been about a year since he last read this magazine and I know he loves to read this magazine.

Last Fri, during dinner with my parents, he mentioned that my horoscope says I will receive a gift on Monday. I was puzzled why he bring this up out of nowhere. And also, he does not believe in horoscope and thus, does not bother reading horoscope. My mum was even discussing with him whether such stuff is believable. And the discussion went on and on, which I did not take part in too much. I was saying Monday (13 Apr 09) is no big deal, who would buy me a gift?
Just before we tucked in that night, he brought up this topic again. Fishy! I knew he has something up his sleeves and I kept trying to make him tell me what it was that he was preparing for me. He just wouldn't tell no matter what. Almost forgot about the whole incident.

Yesterday was a blue Monday cos' I was so so sleepy. He SMS-ed me and said look forward to your surprise tonight. Make me excited to go home. Reached home, saw a brown box on my table, attentioned to him. After dinner, sat there and started to unveil my surprise! Woohoo! It was really unexpected! I didn't even think he would buy me this cos' I thought I had no need for it. Well, to this man, IT gadgets are 不在乎天长地久,只在乎曾经拥有. Each time, he wants to buy IT gadgets, I would ask him then what happens to your old one. He will reply me this.
And so... his princess got the ALL NEW iPOD Shuffle!!!

See the engraving "Happy 6 months Anniversary". Really sweet of this hubby to spring such an unexpected surprise!

And this iPod Shuffle is really cool. It allows you to have playlists, unlike previous iPod Shuffles and it has VoiceOver, meaning it is able to read to you the song name while you are listening to the song with just one click! Cool!

Looking forward to only the 2 of us on our HoneyMoon Trip! And I am gonna bring my iPOD shuffle along! *elated*

Day 12

Day 13
- Home Sweet Home

Been to the briefing last Sat (4 Apr). Was briefed on the weather (2 degrees Celcius to 30 degrees Celcius), where we will experience 2 degrees Celcius at Grand Canyon during the night and 30 degrees Celcius in the desert area, Laughlin, during the day. Very large range thus, relatively hard to pack. Just gonna bring normal jacket, no winter clothings that will take up loads of space.

Was also briefed on the hotels, the optional tours they have, the tipping culture etc. We were both shocked at their tipping culture. It's about 12% of the total bill. And this is on top of all the other government taxes and service charges you pay. Crazy!!! Checked with parents-in-law who went there last Sep, they did not know about this and did not give. Maybe we will pretend we don't know too :)

Alright! Till the next! For now, I am just longing for this break... and both of us will definitely enjoy ourselves for sure!
